RULES AND REGULATIONS

i. General rules and regulations of NNMCOP

  1. All the Pharmacy Courses are non-vacation courses.
  2. So, no student shall claim for vacation or study leave unless or otherwise the Government or University declares so
  3. Strict attendance and discipline shall be maintained.
  4. Misusing social media or other media to cause disgrace to our Member Colleges by any student of the member college or any person will attract legal and disciplinary action.
  5. Students who apply for the course in any of the Member Colleges of NNMCOP shall join the College after enquiring thoroughly about the rules and regulation of the College. No excuses will be entertained later.
  6. Mass bunking of class is an offence. The Member Colleges will take action against any such act form the side of students. Six Minimum academic days fixed by the approving authorities do not mean that working days shall not exceed the number. All Colleges will make attempt to avail maximum working days to make sure excellent quality for the course transacted.
  7. All students shall make the annual fee payment on the first day of June every academic year. The College will not be responsible for the delay in starting next year classes due to the delay in the conduct of annual exam by University / any other reasons. Delay in fee payment will attract fine.
  8. Every Member Colleges will be having its own Uniform for the students. All students who join our Member Colleges have to follow the Uniform and Dress code of the College strictly.
  9. Identity card is a must for all students to enter the College Campus
  10. The best state of discipline is expected from the residents, a few aspects of the discipline are highlighted here:
    1. Ragging. Ragging, in any shape, that can cause physical or psychological harm or raises apprehension of fear, shame, or an embarrassment to the new student, including teasing, abusing, shouting, playing practical jokes or causing harm to the student or asking new students to do any act or to perform acts (which such student will not be willing to do ordinarily) is strictly forbidden. It is expected that senior students will help the juniors in their settling down process. Anybody found involved in ragging will be dealt with sternly.
    2. Smoking. University is a smoke-free zone. Smoking is prohibited in the rooms as well as in the hostel premises.
    3. Criminal/Unlawful Activities. Following will be considered unlawful activity:
      1. Joining banned organizations or involvement in anti-state activities.
      2. Creating trouble in hostel premises including going on/organizing strike and inviting/inciting others for a strike or printing/writing/ distributing pamphlets/handouts etc.
      3. Giving threats to any student or staff member.
      4. Overstaying in the hostel after completion of on-campus duration/ specified period/completion of the degree.
      5. Causing loss to/damaging Hostel/University property.
      6. Misuse of hostel facilities.
      7. Bringing/inviting unauthorized person/day scholars in the hostel.
      8. Gambling in any shape.
      9. Conduct. Students are advised to dress up well, while moving on the campus, except when going to / coming from the washroom. Students' general behaviours, dress, and conversation in the hostels must be decent. Shouting is not allowed. Any kind of misconduct will be dealt with sternly.
      10. CCTV cameras are installed for round-the-clock monitoring.

ii. DO’s and Don’ts

Dos

  1. Show your regards to fellow students, staff, and faculty.
  2. Be respectful to colleagues and hostel staff/management & security staff at gates.
  3. Always use parliamentary/decent language.
  4. Keep the class room neat.
  5. Utilize your PC for educational purposes only.
  6. Be security conscious and take care of your valuables especially Cash, Mobile Phones, Laptops, etc. Take your valuables along when you proceed on leave, etc.
  7. Always submit college fee, hostel and mess dues in time.
  8. All notices/instructions issued from time to time are religiously followed.
  9. Take care of hostel property.
  10. Always enter your name in IN/OUT register at library.
  11. Preserve/economize on utilization of water, electricity, and gas.
  12. Turn off all the electric switches, gas appliances, and water taps while leaving the room.
  13. Read all notices put up on the Notice Boards regularly.
  14. In case of any emergency or illness, immediately report to the counsellor who shall make necessary arrangements for medical assistance.
  15. Always be well-dressed and hair must be properly trimmed. Make a habit to shave daily.

Don’ts

  1. Keeping of prohibited medicines, drugs without doctor's prescription.>
  2. Possession of the following items is banned: (a) Firearms, daggers, etc. (b) Alcohols, Toxic drugs, Gutkaa and heroin, etc. (c) Crackers, explosives, ammunition, etc. (d) Objectionable material such as pornographic videos, books, or photographs.>
  3. Smoking and keeping any kind of such above items are strictly prohibited.>
  4. Misusing hostel premises/facilities for other than studies.>
  5. Involvement in criminal/police cases.>
  6. Guests of students or day scholars in the room/hostel.>
  7. Driving a motorcycle without a crash helmet, one-wheeling.>
  8. Disturbing fellow residents by playing loud music or instruments at a high volume.>
  9. Making noise and raising slogans.>
  10. No electric appliance will be permitted in the student's room except the refrigerator and room cooler.>
  11. Damaging college property.>
  12. Make any structural additions/alterations in the rooms or install/fix electrical gadgets or fittings>
  13. Involvement in politics, ethnic, sectarian, or any other undesirable activity.>
  14. Collection of Chanda/donations on any account.>
  15. Ragging of juniors inside/outside the rooms and hostels.>
  16. Gambling in any form such as playing cards (even without money at stake).>
  17. Changing the authorized room setting.>
  18. Occupying/interchanging/swapping rooms without the permission of the Manager (Hostels).>
  19. Giving tips or making any other kind of payment to any workers>
  20. Opening the door of another fellow's room without his/her permission.>
  21. Using the belongings of other residents without their consent.>
  22. Borrowing and lending money from the students/staff>>
  23. Visiting rooftop.>
  24. Arranging private trips/visits without written permission of Director>
  25. Cooking in the room under any circumstances.>
  26. Keeping pets or animals in the room.>

iii. Prohibition of ragging

Ragging in any form which includes harassment by word, action, gesture, intimidation, coercion, physical or mental insult / assault, teasing etc. which are capable of causing mental / physical stress or moral torture or agony to other students or staff inside / outside the premises of the College or hostel etc. is strictly coming under the word Ragging and is prohibited in all the Member Colleges. All the Member Colleges are committed to abolish Ragging in their campus. Hence, any student who indulges in any form of Ragging will be subject to penal action as per provisions of law. Students and parents shall at the time of admission furnish an Affidavit to the effect that the student shall not indulge in any form of Ragging.

"Our enjoyments shall not touch the boundary line of others freedom and independence.... will be one of the ideal human characteristics or attributes" To curb the menace of ragging and to prevent the students indulging in ragging and abide by the laws and procedures evolved by high courts and the Supreme court of India, PCI, UGC and AKTU, UP, against the incidence of ragging and to monitor frequently the incidents of ragging in around the campus. NNMCOP has constituted an anti-ragging committee by opting qualified teaching and non-teaching staff of the campus in addition to involving two members from the Department of Law and Jurisdiction. Every incident of ragging or a complaint made on it will augment the convening of anti-ragging committee in presence of all the relevant members to arrive in appropriate end results.

iv. Discipline at Exam centre

Students’ Responsibility Students shall report half an hour before the time fixed for the examination on the first day and ten minutes on subsequent days. No books, notes, or documents are to be taken in the examination room except those authorized by the examiner. Unfair Means. Any student found using unfair means or assisting another student during a test/examination shall be liable to disciplinary action. A student found guilty of such an act by the institution Discipline Committee, will be dealt with in the light of policy in vogue. Use of unfair means generally covers the following: a. An attempt to have access to the question paper before the test/ examination. b. Use/possession of unauthorized reference material during test/examination. c. Any form of communication by the student with anyone in or outside the examination room while the test/examination is in progress. d. Unauthorized entry into faculty's office or that of his/her staff with the intention of having access to or tampering with the official record/ Examination papers etc. e. Possession of cell phones, smart phones, smart watches, or any other smart gadget/electronic device that may assist in the examination.
